March is National Nutrition Month. This month the FDHA highlights the importance of making informed food choices and developing healthy eating habits. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the average person’s diet exceeds the recommended intake levels from solid fat calories, added sugar, refined grains (wheat, rice, bread, and oats), sodium (salt), and saturated fat (meat and dairy products). Eating a balanced diet is the key to good health and wellbeing.
