Stop The Violence Virtual Teen Summit

This year, The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority (FDHA) is hosting our 9th Annual Health Summit and our yearly teen portion of the event is happening in July! In response to the current rise in violence among youth, we are taking urgent action. The FDHA will host the Health Summit event’s Teen Summit virtually on July 30, 2020. We are inviting all teens and pre-teens ages, 12-18, to participate in this important virtual event.

Themed Stop the Violence, our goal is to provide youth, parents, educators, activists, and mentors, from Fulton and DeKalb Counties, the opportunity to learn the many classifications of violence, along with prevention measures.

The Teen Summit will explore the following violence categories and their socioeconomic impacts on Georgia and metro Atlanta.

  • Youth Violence
  • Community Violence
  • Intimate Partner/Teen Dating Violence
  • Human Trafficking

Resource information that includes local support agencies, violence hotlines, and expert advice will be presented. Zoom In to the 2020 Teen Health Summit for the following:

  • Multiple Sessions on Violence Prevention
  • A Youth Roundtable
  • Q & A Discussion
  • Relevant resources

We look forward to engaging with you for this significant empowerment experience.
