FDHA Joins Fulton County Sheriff's Office for a Day of H.Y.P.E.

The chaplain's program of the Fulton County Sheriff's Department will host a HYPE (Helping Youth Prosper and Evolve) day of activities on October 11, 2014. The Fulton DeKalb Hospital Authority will partner with the group.

Activities will include free tablet giveaways in addition to a free breakfast and lunch.

The HYPE program takes place a once a year event geared toward young people grades six through twelve.

This year's program will have five workshops on the topics of gangs, bullying, education, the judicial system and health and wellness. A panel discussion will encourage children to choose education over incarceration and parenting sessions will support family cohesion.

Registration is required for the fifth year of this program. Workshops start at 8:30 a.m. The last event of the day ends at 8:00 p.m., on October 11th at the Atlanta Metropolitan State College, 1630 Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta.
