Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Throughout the month of October, the FDHA raises awareness about Domestic Violence. According to the CDC, every minute there are 24 people in the US who become victims of physical violence, rape, or stalking by an intimate partner. Also, in the US every 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men ages 18 and older have been a victim of domestic violence in their lifetime. Domestic violence can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or phycological actions or threats of actions that influence another person.
